Today one of my students hit the button on my ipod to check the time without my permission and I got really annoyed but before I could reprimand her for it, she asked “Is that your boyfriend? He’s really cute, Miss.”  I was certain I had the Messier 104 galaxy as a background, but I had forgotten that I had changed it to a picture of Misha last night before bed. So this is me getting stupidly emotional at 4:30pm and one of my older students just looks at me and says “Oh, I see how it is,” and she just flashes her locket, and inside there’s a picture of the guy from the Hunger Games.
 
And at that moment, we shared a connection from fangirl to fangirl.

xShe still didn't get those extra points for not bringing in her homework. xBut it was a really cute moment and I think that - for once - they didn't see me xas this horrible creature out to devour their souls through their text books. xcaptain's log xMy boss is totally cool with me and my 'distinctive character traits' as she calls it xand I think it's mostly because her granddaughter is also this massive SPN fangirl xwho fawns over Cas. xBut that's another story to be told another day.
